You might have read Carol Dweck's book titled, Mindset - changing the way you think to fulfil your potential. In the book, this world-famous psychologist shows how the way that you see yourself crucially impacts on your personal level of achievement. This also applies when a teacher is in the classroom. So often, the child performs according to the teacher's mindset and not to actual ability. Pigeonholing a child's ability is unfair and unreliable.
